Rules for conceded matches when the challenger challenges from the bottom of the ladder are clarified in rule 16 on the information page.
Match extensions are now abolished.
Many players found the forfeit rule unfair to the players ranking between the challenger and the challengee of a forfeited match. Therefore, a new rule will be tried. In the case of a (unlikely) forfeit by a challengee, his/her position will drop one place below the challenger. This effectively means that all the players below the challengee and up to the challenger included will gain one position, whereas the challengee will end up losing up to 3 positions.
Due to the increasing number of requests for challenge extensions, it has been decided to temporarily suspend them. Extensions were given during last winter's extended snow conditions and they have to remain confined to severe weather conditions impeding matches to be played. Any other reason, eg player general unavailability, injuries or other will not count. If the match cannot be played, it has be cancelled by the challenger unless the challengee has made no effort to play the match.
Ladder period extended to 16 days.
Minimum resting period (currently 30 days) scrapped when the player waives his/her free first-time challenge.
